Several area towns, cities, and organizations had LGBTQ+ Pride Month events in 2023. Here are some:

May 20: BAGLY Youth Pride: The Queer Seen, a Day of Visibility and Joy.

June 1: Somerville Pride Flag Raising, 6 p.m.

June 3: Trans Resistance March & Festival for Black Trans Lives. Details TBA.

June: 3: Pride Shabbat celebrating the LGBTQ Jewish Community of Sharon, featuring author Gabriella Spitzer. Temple Isreal, Sharon, MA. 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

June 9: Boston Dyke March, details TBA, Boston Common.

June 9: Erev Shabbat Service—Pride Shabbat with guest speaker, Jay Smith, Chief Communications Officer at Keshet: For LGBTQ Equality in Jewish Life. 7:30 p.m., Temple Sinai, Sharon, MA. 

June 10: Cambridge Pride Brunch. Morning time TBD. Cambridge City Hall.

June 10: Boston Pride for the People parade and festival.

June 11: Sharon LGBTQ+ Pride Festival and Car Parade. 12-4 p.m., Memorial Park Beach, Sharon, MA.

June 11: Out Metrowest Pride Event. Details TBD. Exhibit B Brewing Company.

June 13: Community Book Club. sponsored by the Sharon Pride Steering Committee. Virtual meeting discussing This Is How It Always Is, by Laurie Frankel. Please sign up at  for Zoom. 7-8:30 p.m.

June 17: Rhode Island Pridefest and Illuminated Night Parade. Providence.

Jun 17: Arlington Pride Festival. Town Hall Gardens, (in Town Hall if rain). 2-5 p.m.

Jun 17: Somerville Big Gay Dance Party. Union Sq. 8 p.m. Rain date June 18.

June 23-25: Newport, Rhode Island Pride.

In partnership with High Five Books, Translate Gender hosts a monthly book club for trans and nonbinary youth (ages 8-18) called Affirmations. Book clubs are offered for TWO different groups (see left column). For more information:

LexPride presents Rainbow Artists, a creative expression group for LGBTQIA+ youth and allies ages 8-11 and 12-15. Led by experienced art facilitators/therapists, we create a safe, warm space with art invitations and conversation — and occasional guest LGBTQIA+ artists!

Out Metrowest offers a variety of in-person Youth Programs for grades 6 to 12. No RSVP required. New youth are welcome at all meetings. Check Out Metrowest website for more info.
